About Instant Typing
A modern, distraction-free typing platform built for speed, accuracy, and genuine skill growth.
Our Mission
Typing is the primary bridge between human thought and digital execution. Yet most typing test platforms on the web today are bloated with aggressive advertisements, laggy interfaces, confusing paywalls, and noisy gamification that distracts from deliberate practice.
Instant Typing was engineered to provide an ultra-clean, lightning-fast testing environment that respects your attention. Every millisecond of keystroke latency has been eliminated, allowing typists to focus purely on finger rhythm and muscle memory.
The Scientific Standard: How We Calculate WPM
To provide objective, standardized results comparable with official employment tests, our platform strictly implements the international 5-keystroke standard:
Raw WPM = (Total Keystrokes / 5) / (Time in Minutes)Net WPM = (Correct Keystrokes / 5) / (Time in Minutes)Accuracy = (Correct Keystrokes / Total Keystrokes) * 100Built-In Diagnostics & Remediation
Unlike other platforms that simply show you a final number and ask you to try again, our engine logs your exact keystroke latencies and typo clusters. After every test, you receive an automated breakdown of your weakest keys and a 1-click option to train exclusively on the words you missed.
